Hi, Welcome!
I am Dr. Kenneth Gyamerah, an Assistant Professor at Ontario Tech University in Canada. I completed my PhD in Education from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and an MSc in Education Policy and International Development from the University of Bristol, England.
I am a certified teacher with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. I have over 10 years of experience teaching and research internationally and within Canada. I am also a Chevening Scholar and a recipient of the IDRC International Doctoral Research Award. I currently serve on the Executive Committee of the Comparative and International Education Society of Canada (CIESC). I previously worked as a Research Coordinator at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), where I led the anti-hate and anti-racism research portfolio.
Research Areas and Interests
I am a multidisciplinary researcher and educator. I am particularly interested in how education can contribute to advancing equity and promoting social justice. My research interests include Indigenization and decolonization of education, STEM/STEAM education, education policy and curriculum, Black youth experiences in K-12 and higher education, teacher education and comparative and international education.
