Research Areas and Interests
I am a multidisciplinary educational researcher. My research addresses questions related to equity, social justice, Indigeneity, and the decolonization of education. I am particularly interested in how education can be used as a vehicle to combat all forms of social injustice and inequality. My research attempts to elevate often suppressed knowledge and voices in education. As a researcher-activist, I utilize research methods that challenge the coloniality of knowledge in academic practices. My work aims to create ethical spaces, equitable access, and broader representation for systematically excluded and underrepresented students in K-12 and higher education.
